Hello!
My name is Che’Ryse. I’m an independent artist who explores the power of color and experiment with a wide range of styles to create bold, expressive works that reflect my creative journey.
Featured Work
Senior Capstone: Mental
Medium
Prismacolor Pencils, Gauche Paints, and Alcohol Markers
Description
This mixed media series explores the complex landscape of my mental health through a dynamic interplay of artistic elements and principles. By incorporating vibrant color, unconventional forms, and layered textures, I seek to externalize the often-invisible experiences of emotional highs and lows. Each piece is a visual reflection of inner states sometimes chaotic, sometimes calm inviting the viewer to engage with the raw, unfiltered reality of mental wellness through a deeply personal lens.
Exploration of Paints
Medium
Oil Paints, Gauche Paints, and Acyrlic Paints
Description
This series is a visual exploration of the possibilities within painting itself. Focused purely on the medium, each work investigates the textures, gestures, and interactions of various materials without the constraints of narrative or subject matter. By experimenting with technique, layering, and surface, I sought to discover how paint can speak for itself, sometimes bold, sometimes subtle, but always alive with process. This body of work is a celebration of curiosity, intuition, and the tactile language of painting.
